Throughout the years, SIOC has made an effort to establish worldwide academic contacts with universities and research institutions. Some 9,000 scientists and scholars from all over the world have paid visits to SIOC since its founding, including 15 Nobel laureates in Chemistry. In return, SIOC has sent more than 3,000 short-term visiting scholars abroad.
With the development of globalization of science and technology, the Institute is putting increasing emphasis on international and regional scientific cooperation. Building upon its ongoing collaborative projects, contract research programs and joint labs with foreign firms and academic institutions, SIOC is seeking more substantial and sizable joint scientific projects.
