The "Key Technology, Theory and Application and Industrialization of the Fluorine-Containing Aromatic Fine Chemicals and Fluoride Reagent" together completed by Researcher Jiang Biao, the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Qian Xuhong of East China University of Science and Technology won the Second Prize of the National Scientific and Technological Progress (East China University of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences), Researcher Jiang Biao was the second (a total of 10).

This research obtained 18 item of the Chinese invention patents on the aspects of fluorine-containing aromatic fine chemicals, fluoride method and fluoride reagent. Since 1996, the results of this study began to be successfully applied to the industrial preparation and process optimization of several types of fluorine-containing aromatic fine chemicals and fluoride reagent by a few manufacturers within the range of the motherland, the yield and quality of the product were considerably improved, the technology and quality of the product achieved to the advanced international level, the "three wastes" were reduced, the entire process resources were fully used and the environmental benefits were clear. This technology has gained 258 million Yuan profits for the enterprise, with 11.07 million U.S. dollars of exported foreign currency. More importantly, the results were of great significance to the breakthrough of the constraining of the organic fluorine chemical technology bottleneck of the national fine chemical development and the accelerating of the upgrading and renewing of the national fine chemical product technology, and promoted the technological progress of the fluorine-containing fine chemicals.
